PANAMA CRUISE
Friday 18 April 2008
Our flight to Miami left from Terminal 5. The new Terminal wasn’t very busy, checking in our luggage was quick and there were lots of staff there to help direct you; we had to take a satellite train to our gate. Most of the shops were upmarket and they didn’t seem very impressed when I asked if they had a “Next”. It would have been helpful if they had a map to show you where everything was. Rick has, or did have a set of expensive, sound reducing headphones that he was proud of. During the flight as I was getting past his seat on the way to the toilet I got caught up in them and pull off one of the ears, he tried using them by holding the ear but I had also ripped the lead in two, so he had to make do with the crackling BA ones. Whilst waiting for lift-off they asked if there was a doctor on board and this resulted in us having to sit on the plane for 1.5 hours as one of the passengers had fallen and broken her arm. Thankfully, our luggage arrived with us but the taxi driver got lost and we were ages getting to the Sheraton Yankee Trader Beach Hotel.
