Saturday 9th October 2021

We are so excited, Lynn and Malcolm have invited us and Des and Ann to share Villa March with them in Pollenca. We last saw Des and Ann in Tenerife last November but haven’t seen Lynn and Mal since February 2020. No test required before flying as we are all double vaccinated. Picked up our Wilber Toyota Hybrid car hire.

Lots and lots of mozzies about.. Trip to Chinese shop to buy leggings for Ann

Every night we are going to celebrate a missed birthday.
Rick’s in charge of the kitty purse and after a visit to Eroski and Lidl he made us all a Margarita to celebrate Ann’s Birthday.

Los Amigos

Des is the Birthday Boy today

Des now also has a kitty purse which I’m not too sure he wants.

It’s Des’s birthday barbecue but only after one of Rick’s special margaritas and a few beers and a couple of bottles of wine at Bar C’an Toni.

Rick was mortified as we would have had some juicy spare ribs if he hadn't interfered with Ann's cooking.

Please, please Rick stop me singing when I’ve had too much to drink.
Wednesday 13 October
At breakfast time a Kitty count-up was requested. Unbeknown to Rick Lynn had hidden €100 but Rick was quite unconcerned as he had no idea how much money should have been in there. We were spending it as fast as we could top it up..

It a cold day and to warm up we walked into the old town and climbed the 365 Calvary steps.

It's Lynn's birthday today!

Dinner again at our favourite restaurant Cellar el Moli. Frank the chef is French. We’ve all been taking the micky out of Mal’s chunky nipples.
What a fun evening. The suckling pig played havoc with Rick’s digestion all night. Just one more night to go, can my liver take it!
Thursday 14 October
The weather was kind to us for our last full day. Table tennis championship in full flow, Malcolm came out tops. I even ventured into the cold swimming pool to cool off.

Cocktails and Tapas in Puerto Pollenca.

Friday 15 October
We saw Lynn and Mal off on the bus to the airport. The road had been temporarily closed to let the cycle race through.

Des and Ann treated us to a whopping breakfast on the beach at Can-pastille.

They were playing Demis Roussos at the cafe which was nostalgic for Ann as this is what was playing when she lasted visited this beach with her sister 40+ years ago

This was such a fun holiday, I don't know if our livers could have taken any more than 6 nights. Thank you Lynn and Mal for organising the villa and inviting us. Thank you Des and Ann for the birthday cards and badge, pressies and scratch cards,
Thankfully we passed our PCR Covid test that was required on day 2.
Post publishing note from the editor!
There has been some dispute as to who actually was the table tennis champion. However Lynn has been uncharacteristically generous and awarded the trophy to Mal. She is even prepared to concede third place simply because if Rick had not had a psychological block at 19 points he could have been champ.
